Well, finally got offered my dream job. The shop that I frequent quite a bit is in need of some new mechanics. So, I was offered the job. This guy has been offering the job for about a month now, and I have finally decided I think I will take it. My only question is what is involved in getting ASE certified? What kind of test is this? Im worried I would leave a "for sure" job, and then not pass the ASE certification. Anyone here ever get certified? Is it just about general car maintence? Or do you need to have memorized the exact process for tearing down and engine and totally rebuilding it? Thanks for any info.
